Needles Highway, SD
We started out on the Needles Highway at the Needles Eye
Looking at this formation you can see why it’s called the Needles Eye.
Next problem, to get our 8ft wide truck thru thru 8ft 4in wide tunnel.
We had a pretty rough experience with this tunnel. Check out our blog at www.smittysinfo.com to see pics. We were on our way to Sylvan Lake. We didn't look at the map first and went the long way through Custer State Park. Didn't know that tunnel was so small so we attempted to pull our flatbed with kayaks and stuff on it. It was awful! You and my husband are the same.....brave and a little crazy! We have quite a memory now!!!
