South Kaibab Trail, Grand Canyon

We hiked the South Kaibab Trail, it begins south of Yaki Point. Described as a steep trail, the trail head is 7200 feet. We made it to Cedar Ridge 6060 feet, the return trip of 1140 feet you cover in 1.5 miles will have you huffing and puffing! The trail is on the canyon wall and then you follow a ridge down. The views are breath taking!! The first rest area on the hike is Ooh Aah Point, and it is an ooh ahh moment!

Cedar Ridge, was our turn around point. From here you can continue on to Skeleton Point another 3 miles and you drop another 860 feet. The return trip would have been a climb of 2000 feet in just 3 miles!
